Preserved Memories

As part of my work I have preserved the photographs they are now in the cupboard and will be documented, I hope that people will come and have tea or coffee with me and discuss memories and preserve one for me to keep in the cupboard or take with them, I feel this could be a sort of therapy, not all memories are good ones, maybe jarring a bad one will help put it to rest, or maybe treasuring a happy memory.

Metropolis Girl

While working on the project I looked at Metropolis, I have used the robots iconic image to create these distorted faces that merge and divide.

Where I want to be.....

Where I want to make my home, even though its seriously cold in the winter lol

Where is home?

Where is home, it is one of those questions that could leave you pondering for a while.  Is home where you grew up or where you live now, or where you want to live when you have chance to move. Sometimes we are drawn to places, I have been on holiday to places and felt totally comfortable there. Tiverton in Devon is one of these places for me, I went there when I was 20, my hubby at the time and I hitched there. I felt like I was home even though I had never been there before, sadly I haven't been back but my time there was lovely.

Tea anyone.....

This teacosy is based on a 1937 knitting pattern, I feel that there is nothing better than getting home and having a warm drink, personally Im a coffee girl, but on Eastenders tea is a cure all.
And the time goes gone.....
I now have purchased a retro cupboard for my jam jars to be displayed in. We have an exhibition within the next couple of months and I felt this would be an ideal way to present the work. The lovely brown is now a lovely powder blue and so are the doors at the bottom.
